Introducing the College Board Opportunity Scholarships

A Clearer Path to College for All Students

Applying to college is a complicated process, so we've created a program that guides you through it. This scholarship program is open to all students and it doesn't require an essay, application, or minimum GPA. Instead, it rewards your effort and initiative. Complete key steps along your path to college for a chance to earn scholarships.

The Scholarships

The more effort you put in, the more opportunities you have to earn a scholarship. Complete all six, and you’re eligible to earn $40,000. Scholarships will be awarded through monthly drawings to students who complete each action.

Eligibility

I'm a student. Am I eligible?

The College Board Opportunity Scholarships program is currently open to all class of 2020 and class of 2021 students in the United States, Puerto Rico, and US territories, regardless of citizenship status. For the class of 2021, US citizens and residents attending Department of Defense Education Activity schools abroad may also participate. Students in the class of 2022 will be eligible in late 2020. Are there family income requirements to earn scholarships?

This program is open to students regardless of their family income. At least half of all the scholarships (over $2 million) will be designated for students whose families earn less than $60,000 per year.
